DIY Full Eucalyptus and Cedar Garland Using Cheap Garland and Springs
If you are looking to update your garland this year but do not want to spend a lot this is the perfect DIY to get that full cedar and eucalyptus garland look on a budget. There are so many beautiful garlands out right now but to fill your mantel or span your staircase and have it be lush and full can get really expensive. While looking at garland at Joann’s this week I came across some sprigs on major sale and came up with a way to use them on my mantel.

How to make DIY Christmas garland for your mantel
I found these pretty sprigs of cedar greenery at Joann’s and when I saw that they were on sale for “Buy 1, Get 2 Free” I knew I would find a way to make them work ๐ So I got three of them for around $10 – that is a really good deal! To make the garland I combined the cedar sprigs with one spring of eucalyptus and one of those basic very inexpensive garlands.
What you’ll need

- 1 inexpensive plain pine garland
- 3 sprigs of cedar
- 1 sprig of eucalyptus
- floral wire or any light weight wire
Step by step
- Secure the plain, inexpensive pine garland to your mantel using small nails or command strips
- Add in your cedar sprigs evenly dispersing them throughout the plain garland
- Remove eucalyptus from the stem and add to your garland
- You’re done but can add bows, bells, beaded garland or ornaments if you’d like

This is such a simple and inexpensive way to update your garland! It turns a plain simple garland into a lush expensive looking one immediately and you can easily change it up if you’re going for a different look next season.
