Lettuce Wrap Burgers and Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries with Tangy Fry Sauce: An Easy Weeknight Dinner

Burgers

  • 1 lb Ground Beef My favorite is Aldi’s Organic Simply Nature Grass fed beed in 85% lean
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/8 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Cumin
  • Fresh iceberg or butter lettuce leaves for wrapping
  • Your favorite toppings (I used pepper jack cheese onions, pickles and Aldi

Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled and cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika

Tangy Throw Together Fry Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp white vinegar to taste
  • Dash of Salt
  • Dash of Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Paprika

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Burger Patties:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, and cumin. Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized burger patties. Preheat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Wrap each patty in fresh lettuce leaves.
  • Make the Sweet Potato Fries:
  • Toss the sweet potato strips in avocado oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Place them in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Air fry at 425°F for approximately 20 minutes, or until desired crispness is achieved.
  • Whisk Up the Tangy Fry Sauce:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Adjust the vinegar to taste for your preferred level of tanginess.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
  • Arrange the lettuce-wrapped burgers on a plate and pair them with a generous side of air fryer sweet potato fries. Serve the tangy fry sauce on the side for dipping—or drizzle it over your burger for an extra kick!
